Maya Angelou is a great inspiration, and here's why, she's the best poet.

She worked her pain into powerful words, and her silence into speech. I have struggles with stepping up to talk and participate in certain things, so listening to her poems make me feel a certain way. I love her. Her poems like still i rise, and phenomenal women encourage young women like me!

She taught that “people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” She opened doors for many generations! She walked through the fire not to burn but to rise! Whispering to each and every one of us, we’re not done yet, we got more to see, learn, teach, hear, find.

More stories to uncover. For those who fall but still try are to be the most powerful! In my own perspective. She made us feel like we belong in this world of ours.

Her gift was more than writing some words with a piece of paper and pen. It was a message to the soul.
